Job description
As the Rock Drilling Tools (RDT) business in China is growing rapidly and the product portfolio is extending accordingly, we have a vacancy looking for Technical Center Manager to manage the production engineering improvements, quality improvement on local top hammer products, DTH Products and other related in China. This position will contribute as a key role to gradually develop the products to be world class. This position will directly report to the Plant Manager.
Mission
To build up, organize and lead the local product team, production engineering team, to improve the current local products based on the requirements from the domestic and international market and to coordinate and follow up new projects against the committed time, cost and quality requirements.
Responsibilities:
To closely coordinate with the sales team, production team and to ensure the products continuously improved on the consistent level.
To achieve warranty under the company requirements.
To be responsible for new product strategy development for the Chinese market.
To closely work with the sourcing team and provide the purchasers with the required technical information.
To closely work with the production engineering group on the process improvements.
To maintain and update the design BOM as well as technical documents management.
To transfer knowledge to the local Chinese team to enable a competent successor to be appointed in 3 years.
Experience requirements
At least 7 years experiences in production development and engineering are required.
Experience in coaching is preferred.
Experience in project management is necessary.
Experience as management role is necessary.
Working experience in steel mill and top hammer production is preferred
Knowledge
Knowledge of rock drilling tool technology is required.
Can use Chinese and English as working language.
Educational requirements
A mechanic engineering or material university degree is required
